Description

Long time since I posted any new content, so I decided to put a lot into this. I actually lost track of how much time I spent on it haha.
This turned out to be some nice practice at doing detailed backgrounds, playing with light, textures, and working with colored lineart. Overall I think it looks okay. My main issues with it is mostly the lack of detail on the objects like the picture frame, the books, and the clothes at the far parts of the background. I also think the colored lineart could use some more work and maybe I should work with a different color from red for the light. The book on the desk and the clothes on the ground could use some more detail as well, and the skirt still feels off even after I tried to fix it.

Misc info:
The character in the drawing is Patricia Olson, one of the characters in a story I will illustrate in the future titled No Man's Land. I drew this using CSP but my license is running out by December :V

Thanks to:
Chinchongcha -- for the original suggestion to do an overhead shot.
Hestia-Edwards -- for helping me figure out how to fix the shirt to help make it look like she's actually twisting her back.
WingedFuryStar -- for some ideas to make the background more detailed
My mother -- for reminding me that skirts cover the legs from an angle like that Phonecall

I'm tempted to put their names or symbols on the books on the bookshelf now, but I'll need permission for that first ^^

Here's how it looked like when I first sketched it on mobile: sta.sh/023cwi947jgh
I had to get rid of some parts of the original sketch because they were detracting from the idea and didn't really feel like it was contributing much to the piece anyway.
